FIRST COMMANDER ZACHARY (ELRICH series)
Zachary is a loyal and brave commander of the army of King Gilfillan, the ruler of the kingdom of Wiltshire. He has been serving the king since he was a young soldier and has risen through the ranks due to his courage, skill and intelligence. He is respected and admired by his men, who would follow him into any battle. He is also a friend and advisor to the king, who trusts him with his most important missions.
Zachary is a tall and muscular man, with short brown hair and piercing blue eyes. He wears a silver armour with the emblem of Gilfillan, a golden eagle, on his chest. He carries a sword and a shield, both forged by the best smiths in the land. He also has a scar on his left cheek, a reminder of a wound he received in a fight with a witch.
Zachary is a man of honour and duty, who always puts the welfare of his king and his people above his own. He is brave, but not reckless, and knows how to lead his men with strategy and tactics. He is loyal, but not blind, and will speak his mind if he thinks the king is making a mistake. He is also kind and compassionate, and cares for the innocent and the weak.
Zachary’s goal is to protect his king and his kingdom from any threat, whether it is from within or without. He is especially wary of the dark lord Vorghul, who has been gathering an army of trorcs, in the north.
Zachary’s flaw is that he sometimes struggles with his emotions, especially anger and grief. He can be impulsive and rash when provoked and may act without thinking of the consequences. He also has a hard time opening up to others and prefers to keep his feelings to himself. Zachary was married and had two daughters.
The day of the final battle against a combined force of dragons and witches.
Zachary was sitting in his tent, looking at a map of the enemy’s territory. He had won several battles, but the war was far from over.
He sighed and rubbed his eyes. He missed his home, his wife and his daughters. He wondered how they were doing, and if they were safe. He had not seen them for months, and he longed to hold them in his arms again. He wished he could send them a message, but he knew it was too risky. The enemy could intercept it and use it against him or his family.
He looked at a small locket he wore around his neck. It contained a portrait of his family, painted by a friend. He opened it and gazed at their faces. Elora, his wife, smiled at him with her warm brown eyes. She was the love of his life, and the best thing that ever happened to him. She was kind, gentle and wise, and he admired her for her courage and compassion.
Lila and Rose, his daughters, looked at him with their bright blue eyes. They were twins, but they had different personalities. Lila was the older one by a few minutes, and she was more serious and studious. She loved to read books and learn new things. She wanted to be a scholar someday. Rose was the younger one, and she was more playful and adventurous. She loved to explore the castle and the forest and make friends with animals. She wanted to be a knight or a ranger someday.
They were both smart and brave, and he was proud of them. They had inherited their mother’s beauty and their father’s spirit. He hoped they would grow up to be happy and successful.
He closed the locket and kissed it softly. He whispered a prayer for their safety and well-being. He hoped they would understand why he had to fight this war, and why he had to be away from them for so long. He hoped they would forgive him for missing their birthdays, their holidays, their milestones.
He hoped he would see them again.
He put the locket back under his armor and stood up. He grabbed his sword and shield and walked out of his tent. He had a war to win.
